Michael Willis serves as President of Upstream and has 24 years of industry experience.

Immediately prior to Upstream, Mr. Willis was Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Century Exploration New Orleans. He joined Century in 1992 and served as their General Manager from 2003 onward and since 1995 served as a senior officer heading up the exploration and operations management team. Mr. Willis is well versed in all aspects of the E&P business, with an emphasis on safety and environmental responsibility, and working with all stakeholders with integrity and transparency.

Prior to joining Century, Mr. Willis served as the Vice President, Administration of Langlais, Ltd., Hong Kong, from 1990 to 1992. While in Hong Kong Mr. Willis was a project manager at Commercial Software Services Limited, an IBM Systems Reseller, from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that Mr. Willis had his own computer consulting business in Cape Town, South Africa. He was an adjunct professor at the A.B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University from 1997 to 2005.

Mr. Willis earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and his Master of Business Administration from A.B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University.

Mark Wojna

Vice President Exploration

MarkWojna

Mark Wojna serves as Vice President Exploration of Upstream and has 30 years of industry experience.

Immediately prior to Upstream, Mr. Wojna was Exploration Manager for Century Exploration New Orleans from 2008 to 2015. He joined Century in 1986 and his entire career has been spent at the Company and has been focused on oil and gas exploration and development in the federal and state waters of the Gulf of Mexico and onshore Louisiana. He is a proven oil and gas finder in the region and his primary responsibilities are to generate new exploration and development growth opportunities with his exploration team.

Mr.Wojna has successfully explored and developed the Plio-Pliestocene trends in the Gulf of Mexico and developed salt domes and the Miocene trend in South Louisiana. He was instrumental in the development of Century’s prolific success and continued growth in the geopressured Middle Miocene trend in Breton Sound. Mark published a paper documenting his exploration team’s work in Breton Sound 53 Field in the Oil & Gas Fields of South Louisiana, 2010 New Orleans Geological Society guidebook which summarized the largest discoveries in South Louisiana since the year 2000.

Mr. Wojna earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Michigan State University and his Master of Science in Geology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Harvey A. Kelley

Vice President of Operations

Harvey A.Kelley

Harvey A. Kelley serves as Vice President of Operations of Upstream and has 36 years of industry experience.

Immediately prior to Upstream, Mr. Kelley held the same position for Century Exploration New Orleans which he joined in 2003. With Century, Mr. Kelley managed operations exceeding four million man hours without a loss-time accident, spill or release. He serves as Company Qualified Individual (QI), trained in spill response and emergency response, per Federal and State requirements. Additional responsibilities include establishing and assisting in the implementation of production improvements, which include production modeling, chemical programs, water disposal, compression, well workover, and artificial lift, working with other disciplines to provide the necessary data and support for analysis in implementing projects in the Reservoir, Geology, Drilling and Accounting departments.

Immediately prior to Century, Mr. Kelley was Vice President of Engineering at Flash Gas and Oil from 2001 to 2003. He was a consulting petroleum engineer from 1992 to 2001 and before that was a Staff Business Advisor for a major asset team at Mobil Oil from 1990 to 1992. He held various engineering positions at Mobil Oil from 1979 to 1990.

Mr. Kelley earned a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Engineering with Petroleum Option from the University of Alabama.

Louis Belanger

Vice President of Engineering

Louis Belanger

Louis Belanger serves as Vice President of Engineering for Upstream and has 32 years of industry experience.

Mr. Belanger joined Upstream in January 2017 and his engineering knowledge and familiarity with the Gulf Coast region will assist Upstream in evaluating and growing its asset base. He began his career at Arco in 1984 and moved to New Orleans soon thereafter to join LL&E, where he worked for 11 years and became familiar with the Louisiana onshore and offshore properties that he has evaluated for most of his career. Over the past 16 years, he has held numerous leadership positions at large and small U.S. Gulf Coast focused exploration and production companies. These positions included Senior Reservoir Engineer at Cimarex, Director of Acquisitions, Reserves and Economics at Energy Partners Ltd. and Senior Vice President of Engineering at Goldking Onshore Operating. Immediately prior to Upstream, Mr. Belanger worked as an independent engineering consultant for numerous Gulf Coast companies, including Upstream, from 2013 to 2016.

Mr. Belanger earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Ross Burkenstock

Vice President of Administration

RossBurkenstock

Ross Burkenstock serves as Vice President of Administration of Upstream and has 29 years of industry experience.

Mr. Burkenstock joined Upstream in May 2016 and is responsible for all accounting and finance functions. Immediately before joining Upstream, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Triton Diving Services, Inc., a diving company servicing the shallow Gulf of Mexico. Prior to that he served from 2004-2014 as the Vice President of Corporate Accounting for Superior Energy Services Inc. where he was responsible for all accounting functions inclusive of budgeting, forecasting, SEC reporting, mergers/acquisitions with a focus on the Company’s E&P divisions, SPN Resources, and Bullwinkle.

Previously he served as corporate controller for a publicly traded REIT from 2000-2004 and before that was responsible for investor relations and accounting functions for a public utility (Entergy 1995-2000). He was a revenue accountant for the Louisiana Land and Exploration Company (1988-1995) and before that provided audit services to oil and gas clients with KPMG (1986-1988).

Mr. Burkenstock earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and is a Certified Public Accountant.
